PROCESS
Our process begins with weekly meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Nov-Dec:Getting to know each other and identifying the area of focus for our project.
Jan-Feb: Planning and researching for our movies and assembly.
Jan 29, we emailed 5 companies about skin care product donations. We worked on our movie ideas. We are starting to narrow down what we want in our videos.
Feb 9, 2018 We had a meeting today and discussed beauty imagines. We reviewed our mission and I challenged the girls around 50 today to learn everyones name by next week.
We went over the headspace app again, and I encouraged the girls to use it. Ms. Irene was there to connect with the girls too.
Feb 16, we had a mini lesson on oral hygiene we watch a video, discussed teeth care and everybody got to try charcoal to whiten their teeth. next week we will practice using social media to spread our message.
March 2, Today we had a raining session but got the basic outline for our special event day. The girls are excited to present their finding on health and wellness.
some of the girls volunteered to be the MC of the event.
Feb-March: Video production, assembly planning, advertising, gather donations for swag bags, spread information about our website.
March-April Finalize our videos and assembly, present program to school site and GBLA year end gathering.
April 6th Presentation DAY!!!!
Today the girls presented a 1 hour assembly called "An Hour of Girl Power" it included a fun filled hour of education, bonding, activitism, and overall community building. See video and pictures under the media tag.

May 11, 2018 special presentation " Musical Fiddler on the Roof Jr."
April-May: Reflection, finalize website and have year end closing session. Talk about next year.
